Description

Students understand an interactive, changing and a global
nature of the web. They learn the history of web design,
analyse and compare selected contemporary tendencies. They
also learn the technical web standards and the software
relevant for web design. They define the units of
measurement for the web and other key terms (hosting,
domain, link, layout, grid, frontend, backend, SEO, FTP,
etc.) They learn to plan web design, both individually and
in teams. They study the correlation between the theory of
forms and web design. Furthermore, they study the models of
work coordination with programmers and experts from other
fields.

Learning outcomes

(max. 50 words)

They define the visual concept of a site. Practical classes
include: learning HTML and CSS, the basics of JavaScript,
designing a site in Photoshop or Illustrator, analysing
static and dynamic sites, learning CMS platforms and
designing for WordPress, programming design adaptability,
learning the features of graphics on the web.
