Established in 2001, the Union University Law School in Belgrade (UULSB) has for over two decades now been successfully providing high education in law. It is known for its modern instruction in law, incorporating both theory and practice in teaching. In addition to standard legal disciplines, UULSB also provides instruction in cutting-edge legal disciplines, such as environmental law, media law, medical law, mediation, consumer law, EU law, Internet law, the rights of the child, etc.

Inspired by the best European law programmes, UULSB study programmes are designed to respond to the needs of modern society. Its professors are committed to nurturing the students’ curiosity and development of their intellectual potential. UULSB also promotes the core values of a democratic political culture – above all a culture of tolerance, reasoned debate and ethical conduct.

UULSB offers both sterling study programmes, which are continuously refined and aligned with those provided by law schools in Europe and the world, and high quality and modern instruction, which is delivered by competent and committed professors, renowned legal theorists and practitioners.

Their papers are published in the most prestigious international law journals and monographs. UULSB takes pride in its publishing accomplishments. It has produced a large number of textbooks, monographs and manuals (in cooperation with the Official Gazette publishing house). Its law journal Pravni zapisi is indexed in respected global databases such as the WOS, SCOPUS and ERIH Plus and is ranked as a leading national journal (M24) in the category of Law and Political Sciences.

UULSB has been intensively cooperating with foreign academic institutions within undergraduate and graduate study programmes, international research projects, international conferences and Erasmus+ mobility programme for teachers and students.

UULSB offers studies at the following levels:

  • Undergraduate Academic Legal Studies (three- and four-year programmes);
  • Master Academic Studies in Law – Environmental Law; Criminal Law; International Commercial Law; Family Law; Judicial Organisation Law; Administrative Law; and Contemporary Legal Studies modules (one-year programmes);
  • Doctoral Academic Studies in Law (three-year programme).
