Union University in Belgrade welcomes incoming students and staff within the Erasmus+ programme and other mobility schemes. Mobility is implemented through Erasmus+ KA131 and KA171 projects, as well as through bilateral agreements.
KA131 mobilities are managed and funded by the participating institutions, in accordance with programme rules.
KA171 mobilities are implemented in cooperation with partner institutions and are based on inter-institutional agreements and nominations. Dedicated calls may be published for outgoing mobilities where applicable. More information is available on the Erasmus+ KA171 - International Credit Mobility
Students and staff of the Union University in Belgrade can apply for Outgoing mobility.
International students and staff may participate in incoming mobility through nomination by their home institution.
Application Deadlines
Applications for long term (semester-long) mobilities are organized per semester:
Autumn semester (Winter term)
- Nomination deadline: May 30
- Application deadline: June 30
Spring semester (Summer term)
- Nomination deadline: October 30
- Application deadline: November 30
Applications for short term student and staff mobilities are processed on a rolling basis.
Nominations must be submitted by the sending institution. Applications are submitted by nominated candidates only.
How to Apply
The following procedure applies to incoming mobility.
The application process consists of two mandatory steps:
- Nomination by the home university
Candidates must be officially nominated by their university’s International Office or Erasmus coordinator.
Direct applications are not accepted. - Application by the nominated candidate
After nomination, candidates submit required documents according to the procedure defined by Union University.

Candidates are strongly advised to carefully follow the instructions and use the provided templates and guidelines.
Basic Conditions
- Mobility must be aligned with the candidate’s study or research field.
- Students must select courses in advance and include them in a Learning Agreement.
- Final acceptance depends on the host faculty’s academic capacity and approval.
- Accommodation and meals are not provided; participants are expected to cover these costs from their grant.
- Health insurance is mandatory and must be arranged by the participant before arrival.

All incoming participants nominated for mobility at Union University in Belgrade are expected to familiarize themselves with the applicable visa and residence regulations. Relevant information is available on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Serbia, including general entry requirements and guidance from competent public authorities regarding entry into the Republic of Serbia and procedures for obtaining visas and residence permits.
